Job Description
Our client requires a Setting Out Engineer for a Highways project in Southampton.
This is a great opportunity for long term work!
Required:
-Safety Critical Medical
-CSCS Card
-Relevant References and Experience
As the desired candidate, you will have, experience setting out for similar highways projects, have a minimum 5 years experience, be a team player, offer knowledge to sole problems.
Duties to include:
- Setting out as per works information (drawings/specs)
- Check the above for accuracy
- Support all tasks on site as directed by the Contracts Manager/Directors.
- Ensuring that quality control is met and recorded, completing ITP's, daily
- Engineering support to ensure technical problems are overcome, as quickly and efficiently as possible
- Recording the pre-start site surveys for each section of works
- Handover works /quality documents without defects, and working closely with the senior site management
- Uphold and implement all necessary Health and Safety regulations.
- Provide all setting out equipment for your role
- Engage with the commercial team to ensure works are commercially sustainable.
- Communicate regularly assisting our planners with regular progress updates
