Job Description
We are looking for an accomplished Pre-Construction Manager to head up and develop the regional pre-construction function within the South of England.
Our client is a leading regional contractor with deep roots in the UK construction sector, operating across design, build and project management.
This is a high-impact role, responsible for managing bids, driving innovation, and securing projects that support long-term business growth. You will work closely with the Regional Director, senior leadership, and wider teams to craft winning strategies and maintain a market-leading presence.
Pre Construction Manager Key Responsibilities:

Lead a team of estimators, bid writers, and proposal coordinators to deliver successful bids in line with company objectives and policies

Oversee the preparation and submission of fully compliant bids and proposals, ensuring deadlines are met

Define and implement innovative and effective bid strategies in collaboration with leadership teams

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to drive business development

Continuously improve processes, champion innovation, and ensure best practice across all pre-construction activity

Support bid and delivery teams by offering guidance on risk, value engineering, and commercial considerations

Track and analyse bid performance, applying lessons learned to improve future success rates

Stay ahead of market trends and competitor activity to keep the pre-construction approach competitive and effective
