Job Description
Job Title: Multi-Trader (Plumbing and Carpentry)
Location: Merton and Surrounding Areas.
Contract Type: Self-Employed (3 months with potential to transition to direct self-employed with the company).
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Multi-Trader with a strong background in plumbing and carpentry to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a maintenance environment, particularly within void properties, military housing, and day-to-day maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of maintenance tasks primarily focused on plumbing and carpentry.
- Work across multiple sites in and around Merton, with a focus on void properties and military
housing.
- Utilize company-provided tools, including a vehicle with a tracker and a company tablet, to
complete tasks efficiently.
- Ensure all work meets high standards of quality and safety.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Multi-Trader, ideally with a background in Mite or Kier maintenance.
- Strong skills in plumbing and carpentry.
- A valid driving license with no more than 3 points (required for fleet policy).
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively, with 90% of the work being
remote.
- Willingness to undergo a DBS check upon successful selection.
Compensation:
Rate is negotiable. Candidates are encouraged to indicate their expected rate of pay.
Initial 3-month contract with the potential to transition to a direct self-employed position with the company.
Additional Information:
- Vehicle and company tablet provided.
- Uniform Provided
- Candidate will be expected to be in the Portsmouth based office a minimum of 1x day per
month.
