Job Description
An extremely exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join a leading, privately owned contractor based in the Reading area, working on a full time, permanent basis.
This contractor is a long-established regional construction company in the South, working on various projects including new build, fit out and refurbishment in the education, health, leisure, commercial and industrial sector, up to the value of £15M.
The main responsibilities of the Project Manager include:
- Leading by example, setting exceptional standards of safety, quality and customer service.
- Holding regular meetings with the site team and specialist contractors at which safety, progress, programme, quality and site coordination are reviewed.
- Planning resources and allocates to the project as appropriate.
- Working closely with the QS to ensure financial targets are met.
- Recording delay and disruption to the progress of the works and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Setting high standards relating to H&S and quality for all to follow and ensure company procedures are applied.
- Client liaison.
Project Manager Criteria:
- Ability to lead a site team and sub-contractors on projects ranging from £500K-£15M
- Good commercial acumen
- Excellent Technical knowledge of traditional and modern building methods
- Sets high personal safety and environmental standards
- SMSTS/CSCS/First Aid Trained
